Swiss Farms’ new prototype is designed to communicate freshness,
speed and efficiency, all of which are central to the drive-through chain’s
updated market positioning. The new brand identity creates a “fresh from
the farm” feel, with its iconic rooster, sunrise imagery and fresh color palette.
New digital menu boards feature product offerings, promotions and largescale
visuals. The glass façade with tiered merchandising allows for greater
visibility of product assortment, while interior fixtures are designed and laid
out to enhance quick-pick access.
BROOMALL, Pa. -- Swiss Farms, which bills itself as "America's Drive-Thru Grocer," recently opened its first franchise store with veteran Starbucks and Auntie Anne's franchisee and a 2010 IFA Franchisee of the Year, John Betz.
Drive-through grocer Swiss Farms Stores has opened its first franchise store, with veteran Starbucks and Auntie Anne's franchisee John Betz at the helm. Betz is the recipient of the 2010 IFA Franchisee of the Year award.
John Betz worked in the Swiss Farms on Eagle Road in Havertown growing up and life may have taken him across the Delaware River and into New Jersey, but his Delco roots remained in his entrepreneurial repertoire.
The remarkable change in his life is not lost on John Betz. It seems one day he was wearing a three-piece suit and hopping a private jet to meet with telecommunications industry clients, and the next thing he knew he was wearing shorts and rolling pretzel dough behind the counter of his first Auntie Anne’s Pretzels.

Swiss Farms Stores is sporting a new look and bursting onto the franchise scene, expanding its business from 13 stores in the Pennsylvania market to an anticipated 100 franchise locations over the next five years, while simultaneously growing its fleet of corporate-owned stores. Its aggressive plans, outstanding leadership and focus on convenience retailing make it one of Convenience Store Decisions' 2010 Chains to Watch.
Swiss Farms, the Philadelphia-based drive-thru convenience store retailer, will support the launch of a corporate and franchise system growth plan with new technology from Microsoft, the Pacific Northwest-based technology company announced this week.
On the corner of Main & Main, you’ll find these red-topped drive-thru grocers ready to meet your fill-in grocery needs.
The concept of drive-thru convenience might be more relevant today than in decades past, but Swiss Farms has managed to make itself a staple in neighborhoods across the Northeast since 1968.
